German wines, Riesling in particular, are making a big comeback. Enowine have some nice Rieslings from Sybil Kuntz, though a bit on the pricey side. I also spotted a spatburgunder in Fallon & Byrne in Dublin - basically a Pinot Noir from Germany. Interesting that the name “hattips” the ancestral home of Pinot, Burgundy. That’s enough wine nerdiness for one comment -

Thanks eversomuch for abiding one of my wholesome passions and for letting me share its afterglow with this wider, informed community. But I personally prefer white German wines and it pains me that they are in such short supply in Ireland.
